Engagement Chronicles: Navy and Coral

Apparently this whole wedding thing makes me a little indecisive. I started off wanting blues and greens like ocean colors for the colors of the bridesmaid dresses and such. Then after my maid-of-honor (MOH) and I went shopping for dresses at Wendy’s Cincinnati Bridal, I got really discouraged. We found two great dresses that were so pretty. They were both Bill Levkoff, chiffon with rouching in the middle.

But neither of these dresses, all of Bill Levkoff, actually, came in the color I wanted. So I felt down about it. I just felt like I was going to have to compromise and that was something I didn’t really want to do. So I went home and talked to my mom about it and she told me to check my closet and see what colors I found/wore most often throughout my clothes. As I did just that, I found that I wear a LOT of navy. I actually love navy; I feel it is very sophisticated but adds some fun. It can be worn just like a Little Black Dress but it adds something else to it!

After looking through my closet, I decided that I would change my colors to navy and coral. Coral is a fun and flirty color that I like to pair with navy at times. Just adds that pop of color! Coming to this conclusion made choosing a dress much easier. As you can tell from the photo above, that the two dresses we chose to be our favorites came in navy and are both very flattering. This made the dress dilemma disappear! What a nice surprise.

You can check out my Pinterest boards here, I recently made a Navy and Coral pin board to keep all of my new ideas in one place. I absolutely love this photo! This picture just solidified my new color choice. I was already thinking about having the guys wear gray and now they definitely will!

Until next time…
